
The Primary Industries Training Advisory Council (PITAC) is a not for profit organisation funded by the NT Government Department of Business and Employment. It is managed by an elected management committee made of members who broadly represent the primary industry sectors in the NT.
PITAC acts as a liaison to the primary industries, training providers and territory and national government bodies, to provide leadership and advice on the education and training needs of the primary industries.

PITAC assists employers, industry groups, registered training organisations and those seeking a career in primary industry by providing information about training, funding for training and career pathways.

PITAC consults with industry to provide feedback to government to develop workforce planning strategies. We also consult with industry to provide input to training package development thus ensuring training packages reflect current industry needs.
